Hitomi Heap-Baldwin is an Associate Attorney at Lara & Luna, APC. She is a dedicated advocate for fair and equitable application of the law and represents employees in a broad range of employment disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour, and other related matters. During law school, Hitomi worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Transgender Law Center. She was a clinical law student for the Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors where she provided legal services to older adult patients in the areas of estate planning. Hitomi was a Staff Editor for the Constitutional Law Quarterly, a founding member of the Women of Color Initiative, and served as President for her school’s Ms. JD chapter. Hitomi was awarded the 2016 Rummel Scholarship for her meaningful involvement in the UC Hastings community and the 2016 Student Leader of the Year award for her extensive involvement in student leadership.the
